ROAD CLOSURE - 13th January to 2nd February 2025

C289 Thorpe Road is to be closed between 13th and 19th January.

C292 Sandy Lane is to be closed between 20th and 26th January.

C289 Chapel Street is to be closed between 27th January and 2nd February.



SOUTHREPPS - ROAD CLOSURE - 13th January to 2nd February 2025

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (NTRO8973) affecting the C298 Thorpe Road from 60m west of its junction with Gables Avenue to 60m east of its junction with Gables Avenue (“Road A”) and C292 Sandy Lane from its junction with C289 Thorpe Road for 30m north westwards (“Road B”) and C289 Chapel Street from 200m east of its junction with C294 Church Street for 120m eastwards (“Road C”) in the Parish of Southrepps to facilitate Norfolk County Council traffic calming works, the Roads A, B and C will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from only whilst signs indicate closures are in place, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 16th March 2025 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

 

Alternative route is via: C289 Thorpe Road - C289, C290, A149 Cromer Road. C292 Sandy Lane - Clipped Hedge Lane, Church Street, High Street. C298 Chapel Street – C289, C290, A149 Cromer Road (Thorpe Market, Antingham, Southrepps).

 

NB – C289 Thorpe Road is to be closed between 13th and 19th January. C292 Sandy Lane is to be closed between 20th and 26th January. C289 Chapel Street is to be closed between 27th January and 2nd February.

 

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Roads A, B and C where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

 

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works/when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 16th March 2025 without further notice.

 

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

 

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

 

 

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

 

 

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
