Southrepps Village – 20mph Zone & Traffic Calming

Work will begin on 13 January 2025 to install new 20mph signs and to construct kerb buildouts at three locations throughout Southrepps.

The work will last for 3 weeks, weather permitting. Once completed, the 20mph zone and associated traffic calming buildouts, which were consulted on in August 2024, will aim to improve safety for all road users in the village.

The works will require full road closures on Thorpe Road, Sandy Lane and Gimingham Road, for one week each.

Traffic will be diverted around the road closures by temporary signage.Thorpe Road is to be closed between 13 and 19 January, Sandy Lane is to be closed between 20 and 26 January and Gimingham Road between 27 January and 2 February.

Access for residents will be maintained throughout the works; however, there may be some unavoidable, delays. The County Council thanks residents for their patience while this drainage improvement work is carried out.The project will be undertaken by Norfolk County Council’s Infrastructure Department and their contractors.
